Student of the Week
Jasper High School is proud to have two students to honor this week as student of the week. The first is senior Jordon Craig. Jordan plays right field for the Jasper High School softball team and is a member of the powerlifting team. She is also a FCCLA member and works with the Police Explore group at school and throughout the community. Jordan’s nominating teacher, Mr. Gerard, says “Jordan always has a positive attitude in the classroom and demonstrates a terrific work ethic to her peers. She exceeds expectations in all areas of her work and goes the extra mile to improve herself and her work. For example, she received a blue ribbon at the Skills USA District competition then came back to school and reworked her notebook to improve it for the Skills USA State competition. She received a blue ribbon there also.” Jordan is the daughter of Tammy and Steven Craig.
The second student of the week is junior Karla Molina. Karla plays the tuba in the Jasper High School Band and she is a member of the National Honor Society. Mrs. Casey says, “Karla is a great student with an excellent attitude. She is involved in multiple extracurricular activities and yet manages to keep the highest average in my Pre-AP English class. When others put off an assignment or do less than their best, I can always count on Karla to turn in work that is of a professional quality. I have never heard Karla say an unkind word to another student or a teacher; she treats everyone around her with the utmost respect. She often helps classmates to grasp concepts with which they may be struggling. Karla is an exceptional young lady and one that Jasper High School can be proud to have as a representative.” Karla is the daughter of Alejandra and Osvaldo Molina.
